Messi


The Argentinian Star Lionel Messi achieved the first place in the list of best attackers in the world for the year 2011 according to the International Federation of football history and statistics, whereas Real Madrid striker Cristiano Ronaldo got the tenth place together with Barcelona striker David Via.

Positions are determined by points calculated through the goals scored by each player in international matches and Olympic championships for continents that were played between January 2011 and December of the same year, taking into consideration that it was the first time for Messi to be in the first place.

The Colombian international attacker, Radamel Falcao who plays for Atlético Madrid came in the second place while the Jordanian attacker Hassan Abdel-Fattah in third place, while German national team and Bayern Munich striker Mario Gomez  came in fourth place and Mexican Javier Hernandez in fifth place.

The Order of Top 10 Attackers:

1- Lionel Messi (Barcelona/Argentina): 19 Goals.

2- Radamel Falcao (Porto/Atlético Madrid/Colombia): 17 Goals.

3- Hassan Abdel-Fattah (Al Kuwait al kuwaiti/Jordan): 16 Goals.
 4- Mario Gomez (Bayern Munich/Germany): 16 Goals.

5- Javier Hernandez (Manchester United/Mexico): 15 Goals.

6- Sunil Chhetri (Mohun Bagan/India): 14 Goals.

7- Neymar Da Silva (Santos/Brazil): 14 Goals.

8- Khaled Abdallah Deeb (Al Wehdat/Jordan): 13 Goals. 

9- Jesús Eduardo Vargas (Santiago/Chile): 13 Goals.

10- Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid/Portugal): 12 Goals.
