Juventus

The Best club in Italy and one of the best in the whole world that competes at highest levels in the Italian, European, and International Championships. Juventus, La Vecchia Signora whose players wear the Bianconero (white and black) is an inveterate Italian club with a great reputation and has a long honorable history. It is located in Torino city, northwestern Italy.
Juventus club was established in 1st of November 1897 by a group of friends with the passion for football from a high school specialized in classical studies called Massimo D'Azeglio. Even though the eldest of them was only 17 years old, their small ages blazed a trail to the name of a great legend in the world of football, Juventus; an old Latin word that means Youth. They formed a team that used to gather in the legendary King Umberto Avenue near the school.
The Team won the first Italian title in the season of 1905 after they have beaten Genoa and Milanese, but unfortunately they did not won until 1926. The Agnelli family (owners of Fiat company) possessed Juventus and took over the reins in 1923, they built a play ground for the club close to Torino in Villar Barosa and equipped it with supplements and other services. In 1925/26  Juventus won their second Scudetto, after a hard final against Bologna, beaten only in the play-off and the grand final against Alba Roma.
In 1931, the team collected five consecutive titles for the italian League (lo Scudetto titles) and in 1933 the team began to play on the play ground Minocibali that was later named Comonali.
Juve contributed prominently in the National team that won the World Cup in Rome in 1934. In the 1930s, Juventus experienced the continental competition for the first time when the team took part in the European Cup.
After the second World War, Juventus great success was resumed at the local level. In 1935, Edoardo Agnelli, the president of the club died in a plane crash and his son Giovanni Agnelli took control of the club and become the president in 1947. With many stars in the squad of Juve, most of all, Gampiero Boniperti and cheered on by thousands of fans, the Juventus team achieved the Scudetto in 1950 and 1952.
In 1953, Giovanni Agnelli left his role as the president and his brother Umberto became the president two years later.

The Bianconeri won the Scudetto in 1958 and wore a star on the shirts after reaching ten national titles. In the 60s, there were more successes, the team won the League Championship in 1961,with the last success in the decade coming in 1967, but Juve's history started  to become more glorious at the beginning of the new decade. Gmapiero Boniperti retired, but he moved on a new challenge being leader of the team, and on 13th of July 1971, he became the new president and nothing was capable of stopping il Bianconero (Juventus).
Juventus won their first European Championship in 1977 season and this was the UEFA Cup.
Juve players wore pink shirts as the Home Kit, till the club requested from the English member of Juventus John Savage to contact England for supplying the team with a new kit better than the current one that loses its luster after washing. By coincidence the friend of John sent the kit of the team that he is supporting (Notts county) to Torino. The Shipment contained the crew scheme in black and white which the Juve players wore after that.
The club then granted his players the club shirts that were designed by most skilled tailors at that time.

Juventus was not only interested in the level of players, but also in other important aspects as education, ethics, and forcing them to complete their studies. The club did not permit the players to have long hair according to the laws of Juventus, until recently in 1970 when the club allowed the right back player Franco Causio to prolong his hair. Most of the players who played for Juventus did not leave the club till their retirement and some of whom work in the club, Fiat company, and other companies associated to Juventus. The two stars present on the team logo represent the 20 Italian League Championsips out of 27 which were achieved by the team (each star represents 10 Leagues). Juventus is the most club achieving the Italian League title (lo Scudetto della Lega Calcio) with 27 titles and because of the team's great popularity around the world, Juventus among the Italian clubs has the largest fans base in Italy and the whole world as it is considered to be the strongest team competing in Italy and its largest opponents are AS Roma, AC Milan, Fiorentina, and Internazionale.
